Six airbags and airconditioning became standard across the VE sedan range in this update. Alloy wheels became standard on the Omega. The Omega also gained body coloured door handles and wing mirrors, and a new grill insert featuring chromse highlights. The wheels designs on the Calais and Calais V were revised with the Calais seven-spoke rims and Calais V 10-spoke rims.


An upgraded Alloytec V6 motor on Berlina and Omega models, offering savings in fuel of up to 0.4L/100km on petrol models and 1.3L/100km on LPG models. The space-spacer spare wheel option was removed and replaced with the following options (at no extra cost): a lightweight tyre inflation kit, or a full-sized spare wheel.
